Watch Michael Jordan Celebrate Tyler Reddick's 5th Win of NASCAR Season in Video, 'Kid is On Fire'
Nobody knows athletic excellence better than Michael Jordan, and the basketball legend saw it unfold on the race track Sunday.
Tyler Reddick, who drives for Jordan's 23XI Racing team, passed Kyle Larson on the final lap of overtime to claim victory at the Kansas Speedway. It was the fifth win of the 2026 NASCAR season for Jordan's team, and he unleashed his signature fist pump in celebration:
"This kid is on fire," Jordan said. "I don't even know what to say. I don't know if I can cool him down. He's unbelievable. That was an unbelievable last couple laps, and I'm proud of him. I'm proud of the whole team."
Dave Skretta of the Associated Press noted that Reddick became just the fourth driver in history to win five of the first nine races in a NASCAR top series season.
It was another excellent day for Jordan's team, as all four of the 23XI cars finished in the top 15. One of those was Denny Hamlin, who finished in fourth place and co-owns the team with His Airness.
"Got to deliver for the boss man," Reddick said. "If he's going to come hang out with us, we have to get him dubs."
The dubs kept coming with another excellent performance on Sunday.
