WWE WrestleMania 42 Results and Star Ratings for All Matches from Saturday's Card
WWE kicked off WrestleMania 42 Saturday night inside the massive Allegiant Stadium with a night one broadcast that was polarizing, to say the least, with less focus on the in-ring action than one would expect from the biggest show of the year.
Still mostly good, the card featured matches that were as good as one could expect given the time constraints and wrapped up some long-running storylines in the process.
How many stars did the night's best bout receive, and how did the rest of the card rate?
Find out with this recap of the first night of WWE's two-night extravaganza from Las Vegas.

Seth Rollins and Gunther Deliver
2 of 2
As expected, the best match of WrestleMania Saturday was the battle between Rollins and Gunther.
It was the match that, outside of the main event, got the time needed to deliver and allowed the participants involved to do what they do. Even then, though, it failed to live up to the lofty expectations that followed the extraordinary talents involved, thanks to a finish that was more complicated than it needed to be.
Bron Breakker returned after sitting out months due to a serious hernia, rushing the ringside area and obliterating Rollins with a spear at ringside. The interference felt out of place given the match it was interrupting, and it threw off everything the competitors had established to that point.
Gunther would put Rollins to sleep and win the match, Breakker would deliver another spear after sprinting down the long WrestleMania ramp, and the rivalry between The Architect and The Badass was back on track.
Unfortunately, it was all at the expense of the match, which was good enough to warrant a worthy conclusion, perhaps with the Breakker return coming after the bell.
