What did Joe Burrow know and when did he know it?

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback initially left fans puzzled when he posted this video in an Instagram Story:

Things started to make a little more sense when NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported the Bengals have agreed to trade for New York Giants defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence.

No player is more important to the Bengals than Burrow, and their three-year playoff drought has led some to wonder how much longer his patience will last. Acquiring Lawrence is intended to send a message to the star signal-caller.

To that end, it would make sense if Cincinnati reached out to Burrow to inform him of the trade before NFL insiders were alerted. And he was presumably thrilled to discover the team is getting somebody as good as Lawrence and not at the expense of any teammate with whom he has built a good relationship.
