
Watch Teen Phenom Gout Gout Win Australian U20 100m Championship with Blazing Time
Eighteen-year-old sprinter Gout Gout won the 100m at the 2026 Australian Athletics Junior Championships with a time of 10.21 seconds on Saturday.
Gout was behind at first but sprinted into the lead and even had time to wave goodbye to his opponents before crossing the finish line.

Gout previously made headlines when he ran the 200 meters last Sunday in 19.67 seconds. Per the Associated Press, that broke Erriyon Knighton's under-20 record of 19.69 seconds, set in 2022.
Gout also beat legendary Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt's best time in the 200 meters before his 20th birthday (19.93 seconds), accomplished in 2004 when Bolt was 17.
Gout has made waves on the international stage before, winning silver at the World U20 Championships in 2024 at the 200m at the age of 16.
He'll compete at the World Athletics Under 20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon in August.
