Dodgers reporter David Vassegh, the host of "Dodger Talk" on AM 570 LA Sports, reported that the game was scheduled to start on time despite the snow.
That may seem implausible given the weather, but meteorologist Kevin Roth gave a promising take.
Journalist Adrian Medina also noted a hopeful weather forecast.
Dodgers beat writer Fredo Cervantes provided a look at the field, which featured groundskeepers clearing off the snow.
This isn't the first time snow has fallen in Denver when the Dodgers were in town. Groundskeepers had to clear four inches of snow on May 10 before L.A. played the Rockies. The Dodgers won the game 9-5.
L.A. entered this series with the Rockies at an MLB-best 14-4. Colorado has a 7-12 mark.
