Eric Rivers 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly signing Georgia Tech WR Eric Rivers as undrafted rookie free agent, per Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
Eric Rivers is a vertical matchup wide receiver who is capable of taking the top off the defense. Rivers excels as a deep option in the offense, but has to refine other areas of his game, making him a role-specific player.
He began his career at Memphis, where he walked onto campus as a former 3-star recruit in the 2021 class as a defensive back. Missed the entire 2022 season due to a shoulder injury. Afterward, Rivers transferred to Florida International, where he became the program's first AP All-American.
After two seasons at FIU, Rivers transferred again to Georgia Tech for his final season. His 2025 production was modest. He projects as a backup with room to improve and possibly carving out a role as a return specialist.
