Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs revealed a new back tattoo designed by Ganga that paid respect and homage to various aspects of his life.
The centerpiece of the back tattoo features a cross representing his Christian faith. Sonic the Hedgehog appears grabbing a "Gibbs" nameplate on his upper back.

Gibbs' nickname is Sonic as part of the old Sonic and Knuckles backfield featuring him and former Detroit running back David Montgomery, now a member of the Houston Texans.
Gibbs starred at Georgia Tech before transferring to Alabama. Images of him in Yellow Jackets and Crimson Tide uniforms appear on his back, with a football resting in between the two.
Gibbs also got a tattoo of a black mamba in honor of late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.
The 24-year-old has been an electric talent since entering the NFL, making the Pro Bowl in all three of his seasons. Gibbs has amassed 5,029 total yards and 49 touchdowns over his career, including 1,839 yards and 18 scores in 2025.
