Darby Allin Wins AEW World Title vs. MJF in Shocking Fashion on Dynamite

Darby Allin is the new AEW World Champion.

In a stunning development, Allin defeated MJF during Wednesday's AEW Dynamite after it was ruled the belt would be on the line during the main event.

Allin finished the match off with four Coffin Drops and a Headlock Takeover:

There was quite the celebration in the ring after Allin's victory, led by wrestling icon Sting:

Maxwell Jacob Friedman certainly didn't make it easy for Allin, starting the match with a low blow.

But Allin responded with a low blow of his own and won the match shortly thereafter. It was MJF's second title defense this week, though this one didn't go to plan for the reigning champ.

A number of wrestlers were gunning for MJF, with Kenny Omega, Hangman Adam Page, Swerve Strickland, Andrade El Idolo, Tommaso Ciampa and Kevin Knight also intent on stealing his belt. But in the end, it was Allin who claimed the prize after earning the opportunity by beating Andrade El Idolo at AEW Dynasty.
