WWE's Danhausen Agrees to 'Uncurse' the Mets amid Losing Streak in Trending Post
The New York Mets have lost seven straight games and scored just 10 runs in that stretch. Six of them were in one game, making the skid look even bleaker.
Things are so desperate that former WWE head writer Brian Gewirtz, a big Mets fan, has called on WWE superstar Danhausen to uncurse his team.
Danhausen, of course, is known for placing curses on people who cross him, such as Dominik Mysterio, who lost his Intercontinental championship to Penta after being cursed.
Danhausen hasn't cursed the Mets (at least publicly), but the lineup minus injured superstar Juan Soto looks like it's under some sort of spell right now.
Soto hit .355 (.928 OPS) in eight games before landing on the injured list with a calf strain. The team as a whole is hitting just .223 (.624 OPS). Simply put, New York needs to figure things out offensively, as the scoring slump has dropped the Mets into last in the National League East.
The Danhause "uncurse" is a quid pro situation, though. Danhausen wants his face on "all of the trucks," one of his "demandhausens" that he made clear to Raw general manager Adam Pearce soon after he debuted for WWE.
We'll see if Danhausen can affect the 2026 Mets like the McDonald's mascot Grimace did in 2024, when the slumping team turned it around midseason and made it to the National League Championship Series.
New York plays at the Los Angeles Dodgers for one game on Wednesday at 10:10 p.m. ET before heading to Chicago to play the Cubs from Friday through Sunday.
