Carnell Tate to Titans, Fans React to B/R's No. 2 WR Going 4th in 2026 NFL Draft
The Tennessee Titans selected Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft on Thursday night.
Fans and pundits reacted to the choice.
Tate was ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver and No. 11 overall prospect in the draft class on the April 6 big board from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department.
B/R NFL Scout Dame Parson compared Tate to Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith in his scouting report.
"Tate's height and wingspan offer a quarterback-friendly target," Parson wrote. "He extends the catch point away from his frame and plucks the ball from the air. Tate is a bouncy athlete who can climb the ladder over defenders at the catch point. He has soft, reliable hands and excellent ball tracking skills."
After hauling in 52 receptions for 733 yards and four touchdowns across 15 games as a sophomore in 2024, Tate took a step forward in his junior season.
The 21-year-old finished with 875 yards and nine touchdowns during his 2025 campaign, averaging 17.2 yards per reception. His improved production was particularly impressive considering he only appeared in 11 contests due to injuries.
Tate should immediately serve as one of Cam Ward's top targets as a rookie during the 2026 season.
