New Eagles NFL Mock Draft Expert Roundup for 1st-Round Pick

All it takes is one down year for trouble to start brewing in Philadelphia. 2026 hasn't been any different for the organization.

The Eagles are historically one of the NFL's better drafting teams, but lingering toxicity around the franchise's biggest stars and head coach has created uncertainty about their outlook.

General manager Howie Roseman will look to continue being one of the NFL's top minds and keep this team in Super Bowl contention.

Ahead of the first round of the draft on April 23, here's a look at what experts are projecting the Eagles will do with the No. 23 pick:

Selection (No. 23): OT Monroe Freeling, Georgia

Monroe Freeling is simultaneously the most naturally gifted offensive lineman in this year's class and a prospect with significant variance due to limited starting experience and inconsistent technique.

The Philadelphia Eagles love to invest in their trenches and take chances on prospects with huge upside, because they have a history of properly developing those individuals.

"A selection in the 20s is the right range and team for a prospect with Freeling's raw talent and unrefined skill set," B/R scout Brandon Thorn said. "The Eagles provide him with a veteran-led O-line room, schematic fit and a future Hall of Fame player at his future position to learn from in Lane Johnson.
