New Seahawks NFL Mock Draft Expert Roundup for 1st-Round Pick
The reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks will have some holes to address after seeing key players depart in free agency, but that comes with the territory of winning it all.

Selection (No. 32): CB Chris Johnson, San Diego State
Tariq Woolen and Coby Bryant's departures in free agency certainly weakened the Seattle Seahawks' secondary.
The team's front office signed Noah Igbinoghene and brought back Josh Jobe. Even so, the secondary needs to be at the forefront of Seattle's draft plans to strengthen a unit that played well during its championship run.
San Diego State's Chris Johnson may not have played against elite collegiate competition, but he's easily one of the class' best pure coverage options.
"Johnson is a technician, tackles well and shows an aptitude to play in a variety of coverages along the boundary," B/R scout Daniel Harms said. "He keeps an extremely talented secondary near the top of the NFL.
"The former SDSU standout doesn't take holding penalties and is one of the cleanest incoming prospects. He's a plug-and-play corner for Mike Macdonald's defense and a player the coaching staff will love having in the building."

Summary
For all his frustrating penalties and coverage miscues, Woolen was a valuable part of Macdonald's defense. His man-coverage ability will be missed, making his replacement a priority for the Seahawks to maintain their status as an elite unit. Selecting a cornerback will likely be Seattle's first-round focus. Running back can't be ruled out after Kenneth Walker III's departure.
