What to Know About 'Viral' Draft Star
This marks the first time the Commanders have completely revamped their uniforms since the franchise's rebrand and the introduction of the "W" logo in 2022.
Washington added gold alternate pants in 2024, then added a "Super Bowl era" throwback uniform ahead of the 2025 season.
The Commanders will now introduce two similar Super Bowl era jerseys in burgundy and white as their main look in 2026.
Both looks can be paired with the gold pants, which like the white and burgundy pants feature a two-toned stripe down the side.
The jerseys will also take inspiration from the Commanders' past era by featuring block-style numbers on the front and back as well as on the shoulder pads.
The alternate uniform, referred to by the Commanders as the "Hail Raiser," features an all-black look with burgundy and gold accents in addition to a "low gloss" black helmet featuring the alternate logo.
The team described the spear threaded through the "W" of the alternate logo as "a joining of past and present" between the team's current and pre-2022 branding.
The Commanders are hoping the introduction of the new jerseys will mark a direction change for a franchise that suffered a disappointing playoff miss following injuries to key players including Daniels.
Washington will hope a healthy campaign from their quarterback under a new offensive coordinator in David Blough is enough to help the Commanders build on the run to the NFC title game that capped off Daniels' rookie season.
