New NFL Draft Rumors Reveal Which Top WR is 'Falling' on Boards Before 2026 Event
With the NFL draft just over a week away, one wide receiver could be losing momentum as an early pick.
ESPN's Adam Schefter explained on his podcast that "a couple of teams" have said that USC's Makai Lemon is falling on draft boards.
However, Schefter explained that the situation could be similar to last year, when Tetairoa McMillan appeared to fall on draft boards but ended up going eighth overall.

"I will say this: Last year, I heard something similar about Tetairoa McMillan," Schefter said (9:10 mark). "I had a bunch of people talk about Tet McMillan, didn't love him around the draft... What I'm hearing about Makai Lemon now reminds me of Tet McMillan last year. Couple teams saying they could see him falling, and then I spoke to one coach the other day and he's like, 'This guy's the closest thing I've seen to Amon-Ra St. Brown since I've been analyzing the draft.'"
Lemon had a strong final season with the Trojans, recording 1,156 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department considers him to be the No. 14 overall player and the third-best wide receiver in the class.
In the latest mock draft from B/R, Lemon is projected to go 16th overall to the New York Jets.
