To the victor go the spoils, which means Rory McIlroy gets to celebrate a green jacket for the second straight year.

After McIlroy successfully defended his title at the Masters, he took to social media and posted a collection of pictures and highlights from the entire week. Key shots from his victory, a picture from his champions dinner celebrating last year's win and much more was included:

"Winning a second Masters is incredibly special and would not have been possible without the people who have supported me along the way," he wrote in the caption.

McIlroy completed the career grand slam with his win at Augusta National Golf Club last year, so there was far less pressure coming into this year's tournament. And he responded accordingly right from the start and jumped out to a commanding six-stroke lead through two rounds.

In fact, he set the record for the largest 36-hole lead in the tournament's illustrious history.

It was anything but smooth sailing from there, though, as he lost the lead multiple times throughout the weekend before battling back every time.

His chances at a repeat green jacket seemed precarious at best during Sunday's final round when he double-bogeyed the fourth hole and bogeyed the sixth. Just when it seemed like he was falling down the leaderboard, McIlroy responded with birdies on Nos. 7, 8, 12 and 13 to reestablish himself on top of the leaderboard.

By his final hole, he had a two-stroke advantage and room to play with, which proved important because he bogeyed the 18th for a one-stroke victory over runner-up Scottie Scheffler.

As a result, McIlroy became the first back-to-back Masters champion since Tiger Woods in 2002 and once again got to celebrate the incredible accomplishment.
