Why Peter Schrager Says to 'Tear Up' His Last NFL Mock Draft After 'Feedback' from Insiders
The 2026 NFL draft is just over a week away, and one insider is already revamping his predictions for how things will play out in the first round.
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, ESPN's Peter Schrager declared that his mock draft from a week ago can be thrown out based on the intel he's received since then.
"Honestly, you can tear it up," Schrager said. "The amount of feedback I've gotten saying this guy's too high, this guy's too low, they're not doing that. And teams directly saying, 'Appreciate the thought process, but that's probably not the direction that we're going.'"

Schrager added that he stands by his prediction that the New York Jets are taking Texas A&M edge rusher David Bailey over Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese with the No. 2 pick. B/R's NFL Scouting Department predicted in its mock draft that the Jets would select Reese.
Schrager also backed up his prediction that six wide receivers will be selected in the first round alone, possibly within the first 24 picks:
Everything will come to a head when the 2026 NFL draft begins on April 23 as teams try to rebuild their rosters and add future stars.
