The 5'9" guard did a lot of winning in Columbia. She was a two-time national champion with the Gamecocks. The first of those titles came when Johnson and Aliyah Boston were teammates, and now, they're joining forces again.

Johnson's collegiate track record was undoubtedly attractive to the Fever, who are coming off an appearance in the WNBA semifinals. The 2026 season isn't a championship-or-bust kind of year for Indiana, but the organization has big ambitions with Caitlin Clark healthy.

Johnson joins a crowded backcourt. In addition to Clark, the Fever re-signed three-time All-Star Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull, and it signed another former Gamecock, Tyasha Harris.

Assuming she makes the final roster, Johnson will have an opportunity to carve out a role in the Fever's rotation.
