Masters Prize Money 2026, Final Leaderboard, Total Purse and Payouts

Joe TanseyApr 12, 2026

Rory McIlroy claimed his second green jacket in a row and the Masters winners' purse of $4.5 million on Sunday.

McIlroy had an up-and-down first nine, but he rallied back on the second nine to win the season's first major by one stroke ahead of Scottie Scheffler.

McIlroy recorded two bogeys, including one on the 18th hole, and a double bogey, but he had five birdies on his way to a one-under round that gave him the tournament victory.

Scheffler finished in second place by himself, while four golfers tied for third place at 10-under.

McIlroy shot a final-round 71 to enter rarified air with his second consecutive green jacket.

It wasn't exactly an easy round of golf, though, especially on the first nine when Justin Rose, Scottie Scheffler and Cameron Young all made runs at the lead.

McIlroy steadied his round on the seventh and eighth holes, where he recorded back-to-back birdies. He did the same thing on the 12th and 13th holes.

In between those sets of birdies were seven pars that kept any challengers at bay. The bogey at the 18th hole didn't mean much because he had a two-shot buffer over Scheffler.

Scheffler came close to forcing a playoff, or at least some extra pressure on McIlroy, as he shot his second bogey-free round of the weekend. The 65-68 weekend allowed Scheffler to take solo second place and $2.43 million.

Tyrrell Hatton and Russell Henley shot 66 and 68, respectively, to surge up the leaderboard and force a four-way tie for third along with Justin Rose and Cameron Young, who were in the mix for the green jacket for most of the weekend.

The best players in golf have a month until the season's next major, the PGA Championship, which will be played at Aronimink Golf Club from May 14-17.
