Kelsey Plum Jokes About Finding 'Extra Dollar' in Trending Photo After $999,999 Sparks Contract

Veteran guard Kelsey Plum had a little fun on social media after re-signing with the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday.

Plum posted a picture with the caption, "I guess I found that extra dollar," after she signed a $999,999 contract for the 2026 season.

ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Plum was in line for the $1.4 million supermax contract but opted to sign at a discounted rate to give the Sparks "financial flexibility to build a title-contending roster."

The Sparks boosted their team even further by acquiring two-time All-Star and Olympic gold medalist Ariel Atkins from the Chicago Sky and signing her to a multiyear deal.

Every dollar counts, so Plum's decision could go a long way toward helping Los Angeles contend for a title this season.
