Diego Pavia Reportedly Gets Ravens Minicamp Invite After Going Undrafted in 2026 NFL Draft

Former Vanderbilt star Diego Pavia is signing with the Baltimore Ravens after going undrafted, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Baltimore's quarterback depth chart features two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.

Pavia capped his college career with a bang. He threw for 3,539 yards and 29 touchdowns while running for 862 yards and 10 scores. He was a critical part of the Commodores winning a program-record 10 games and narrowly missing out on the College Football Playoff.

From a pro perspective, the first-team All-SEC honoree carries some big questions, though.

Pavia played six years of college ball and is at the older end of the age spectrum (24) for a draft prospect. His 5'10", 207-pound frame is working against him as well.

Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department ranked Pavia as the No. 11 quarterback in the class with an overall grade of 5.9. B/R's Dame Parson compared him to Cleveland Browns QB Dillon Gabriel.

Parson praised Pavia's athleticism and arm talent but said he "still struggles to read defenses post-snap." Being undersized could also limit how much his mobility comes into play.

The comparisons to Johnny Manziel are inescapable with Pavia, and he has sought some advice from the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner.

Manziel was an elite college quarterback whose skills never translated to the NFL. Starting his career with the Cleveland Browns certainly didn't help, but there were multiple factors working against Johnny Football.

Pro offenses have evolved a bit since then, particularly regarding how mobile quarterbacks are utilized.

Still, Pavia faces an uphill challenge out of the gate as he attempts to carve out a place in the NFL. Going undrafted only reinforces that. Some UFAs have gone on to decorated careers, but the vast majority fade into obscurity.

Simply making Baltimore's final roster ahead of Week 1 will qualify as a success as Pavia builds his profile.
