UFC Drops New White House Renderings in Hype Video, Photo for Freedom 250 Fight Card
UFC released new renderings of its upcoming White House event in a promo video posted Saturday to social media.
The hype video featured a new image of a potential layout for UFC Freedom 250, which is set to take place June 14 on the South Lawn of the White House.
The Freedom 250 fight card features a headline bout between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje for the UFC lightweight championship.
The event will also feature Alex Pereira taking on Ciryl Gane with the interim UFC heavyweight championship on the line.
Sean O'Malley will take on Aiemann Zahabi in a bantamweight bout, while Mauricio Ruffy and Michael Chandler will face off at lightweight.
The card is rounded out by a middleweight bout between Bo Nickal and Kyle Daukaus and a featherweight bout between Diego Lopes and Steve Garcia.
The event is being hosted on President Donald Trump's 80th birthday in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
UFC has held two prior events in Washington D.C. at Capital One Arena in 2011 and 2019. This marks the first live professional sporting event to take place on the South Lawn.
Around 3,000 to 4,000 viewers are expected to watch the event on the grounds of the White House. UFC CEO Dana White said in March he plans to distribute another 85,000 free tickets for viewing the event on screens set up at The Ellipse in Washington D.C.
