Carson Beck's Top Landing Spots After Day 1 of 2026 NFL Draft
Miami's Carson Beck is one of the highest-ranked quarterbacks left after Day 1 of the 2026 NFL draft.
The top two signal callers are already off the board after the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Rams drafted Indiana's Fernando Mendoza and Alabama's Ty Simpson at No. 1 and No. 13, respectively.
Beck now joins LSU's Garrett Nussmeier, Penn State's Drew Allar and Arkansas' Taylen Green as some of the top-rated quarterbacks on the 2026 Bleacher Report big board heading into Day 2.
Here's a look at some potential landing spots for Beck before Round 2 of the draft kicks off in Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers may be expecting Aaron Rodgers to return for another season, but that doesn't solve the franchise's search for a long-term quarterback.
Rodgers is turning 43 in December, and Mason Rudolph is set to play the 2026 season on an expiring contract.
That leaves the Steelers, who met with Beck multiple times this offseason, with just 2025 sixth-round pick Will Howard set to remain in the quarterback room past this season.
ESPN's Brooke Pryor reported earlier this month it "it seems likely the Steelers will draft a QB regardless of Rodgers' future or Howard's trajectory."
Beck's college experience with both Georgia and Miami could make him an intriguing target for a team that could be looking for a new starter as soon as 2027 even if Rodgers re-signs.
New York Jets

The New York Jets brought in Geno Smith on a one-year deal that could leave the franchise looking for a new starting quarterback next season.
Beck is apparently already on Jets general manager Darren Mougey's radar after the two met ahead of Miami's pro day in March, per ESPN's Rich Cimini.
Heading to New York would give Beck the chance to spend at least one season developing behind Smith.
The Jets have recently struggled to develop rookie quarterbacks including Sam Darnold and Zach Wilson. The franchise could hope to find more success this time by targeting one of the most experienced college players in the draft.
Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals are heading into the 2026 campaign with Jacoby Brissett slated to start after releasing Kyler Murray earlier this offseason.
As of March, however, Brissett had not yet been informed he would be serving as the Cardinals' QB1 next season.
That could mean the Cardinals are looking for a quarterback who could potentially compete for playing time during his first NFL season.
Beck, who had a predraft visit with the Cardinals earlier this month, could be a candidate for that role after racking up three seasons of experience as a full-time college starter.
Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are another team in the midst of quarterback changeover after releasing Tua Tagovailoa earlier this offseason.
The Dolphins brought in Malik Willis on a three-year deal to replace Tagovailoa as their starter for 2026.
Willis has yet to spend a season as a full-time starter, however, so the Dolphins could be looking for some insurance behind him in addition to Quinn Ewers.
The Dolphins were one of the teams Beck met with ahead of the draft. Should the franchise ultimately draft him, he could be competing with Ewers for a backup role behind Willis this fall.
