Masters Weather Forecast Update as Rory McIlroy Chases 2nd Green Jacket in Golf's 1st Major
The weather couldn't be much better on Saturday at Augusta National Golf Club, where Rory McIlroy took a six-shot lead heading into the third round at the Masters.
McIlroy's 36-hole edge is a Masters record. On Friday, he made birdies on six of his last seven holes (including his final four) to get to 12-under, six strokes ahead of Patrick Reed and Sam Burns. McIlroy shot a seven-under 65 on the day after carding a five-under 67 on Thursday.

Wemby Breaks Playoff Record 🤯
The 36-year-old is looking to become the first back-to-back Masters champion since Tiger Woods accomplished the feat in 2001 and 2002.
McIlroy, a five-time major winner, became the sixth golfer in history to complete the Grand Slam when he won the Masters last year in a playoff over Justin Rose.
Now he's well on his way to another Masters title, although there is stiff competition behind him in the field, including the 2018 Masters champion in Reed and the 2025 FedEx Cup winner in Tommy Fleetwood, who starts Saturday at five-under. Rose is also lurking at five-under as well.
McIlroy is in the driver's seat, though, and he has all the momentum on his side after a phenomenal finish that included a tee shot on the par-three 16th to three feet of the hole and a 29-yard chip-in for birdie on the 17th.
He'll look to maintain that momentum for two days. As far as Sunday goes, the weather looks clear in Augusta, Georgia as well. Per the National Weather Service, it will be sunny with clear skies and a high of 88 degrees. Winds will be between 5-7 mph.
