New Jeremiyah Love Rumors on Top 2026 NFL Draft Landing Spot, Most Likely Fit

Mike ChiariApr 10, 2026

Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love reportedly could be a target for the Tennessee Titans with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

ESPN's Matt Miller wrote that although he isn't more than 75 percent certain about any pick outside of No. 1 overall, he expects the Titans to take Love fourth overall if pass-rushers David Bailey and Arvell Reese are both off the board.

Miller added that Love may be the pick for Tennessee even if Bailey or Reese are available, noting that he believes the Titans have "eyes on pairing him" with second-year quarterback Cam Ward.

Regardless of whether the Titans ultimately do take him, Miller expressed confidence in Love being a top-five pick.

Love is widely viewed as the top running back and one of the best overall players in the 2026 NFL draft. On its latest big board, the B/R NFL Scouting Department ranked Love as the No. 2 overall player behind only Ohio State safety Caleb Downs.

The 20-year-old Love put up huge numbers in each of his final two collegiate seasons, making him one of the most consistently productive and explosive players in the game.

In 2024, Love registered 1,125 yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground while averaging 6.9 yards per carry, and he added 28 receptions for 237 yards and two touchdowns for a Fighting Irish team that reached the National Championship Game.

Love was even better last season, rushing for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns on a 6.9 yards-per-carry average to go along with 27 grabs for 280 yards and three scores.

He won the Doak Walker Award in 2025 as the top running back in the nation, and finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting.

Love has a chance to make an instant impact at the NFL level, and there is little doubt that the Titans would benefit greatly from an offensive player who can step in and produce immediately.

The Titans went 3-14 last season, and they ranked 31st in the league in total offense, and 30th in scoring offense.

Tony Pollard did reach the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the Titans with 1,082 yards, but he wasn't a true difference-maker like Love could potentially be.

While the Titans still need to add more pass-catchers, selecting Love could be the best thing possible for Ward since it would take some of the pressure off of him to carry the offense.

With a defensive-minded head coach in Robert Saleh, establishing the run on offense will be of the utmost importance, and Love can provide the consistent running game Tennessee needs.
