Jackie Young, Aces Reportedly Nearing Historic Contract Amid A'ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray Free Agency

Andrew PetersApr 9, 2026

Jackie Young is sticking around for at least one more year with the Las Vegas Aces.

Per ESPN's Alexa Philippou, the guard and the Aces are finalizing a one-year, $1.19 million deal.

Young has been a key piece of the Aces' "Big Three," alongside A'ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray, helping Las Vegas win three WNBA titles in 2022, 2023 and 2025.

Young, the No. 1 overall pick in 2019, is coming off a season in which she put up 16.5 points, 5.1 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. She was outstanding in the postseason, averaging 20.4 points, 5.5 assists and 4.8 rebounds while helping lead the Aces to another championship.

Young was previously on a two-year, $504,900 contract, so the max deal is a significant pay raise following the new collective bargaining agreement that passed last month.

With the Aces now having secured Young for the upcoming season, Wilson could be the next in line for a new deal. The Las Vegas Review-Journal's Callie Fin reported in March that Las Vegas was expected to offer Wilson a supermax deal, which would pay her a $1.4 million salary.

Wilson later stated her intention to return to the team that drafted her.

"I'm not looking. I know exactly where I am. I love Vegas. I'm not leaving Vegas," she told reporters on April 3. "I'm looking to win another one. I'm looking to defend a championship that we have in Las Vegas. I'm looking to get better as a leader, as a player. Everything else just kind of falls in line."

The Aces have had years of success with their big three leading the way, and they're looking to keep that core together for the foreseeable future.
