Hidalgo is coming off another stellar season with Notre Dame, helping the team finish with a 25-11 record while advancing to the Elite Eight of the 2026 NCAA tournament.
It represented the longest March Madness run for the Fighting Irish since 2019.
Hidalgo ranked No. 3 in the country with her average of 25.3 points per game and led the nation by recording an impressive 5.6 steals on a nightly basis. She also averaged 6.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game while shooting 47.5 percent from the field.
The 21-year-old became the first player in Notre Dame history to win the Naismith Women's Defensive Player of the Year award.
While the Fighting Irish suffered a lopsided 70-52 defeat at the hands of UConn in the Elite Eight, their 2026-27 outlook is extremely promising.
Notre Dame will be bringing in a recruiting class that ranked No. 3 among all schools during the 2026 cycle, per 247Sports' composite rankings.
