Topps Reveals Bo Jackson, Travis Hunter, Jaxson Dart, More NFL Tecmo Bowl Trading Cards in Photos

Multiple current and former NFL players were featured on Topps' new Tecmo Bowl trading cards.

Topps showcased autographed cards from former Pro Bowl running back Bo Jackson, Jacksonville Jaguars two-way standout Travis Hunter, New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart and Tennessee Titans signal-caller Cam Ward as part of the upcoming insert card subset.

The cards feature pixel-based designs and touchdown screen visuals reminiscent of the 1989 video game.

Fanatics Collectibles CEO Mike Mahan discussed the inspiration for the theme on Wednesday.

"If you were a child of the late '80s early '90s, Tecmo Bowl was THE thing, and anyone who wants to play, I'm in," Mahan said, per Larry Holder of The Athletic. "I probably spent more hours playing Tecmo than any human alive so this one really matters to me and it's just fun. This is just a nod to the past with something that is super fun and that, for us and for a lot of people, this is going to mean the world to them because it was such an important game to them just like it is to me."

The cards will be included in 2025 Topps Chrome Football packs when they release on April 15.
