Eagles 2026 NFL Schedule Released as Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley Eye Super Bowl Push

The 2025 season didn't go to plan for the Philadelphia Eagles, who failed to defend their Super Bowl title and sputtered on offense for much of the season.

Many changes followed on that side of the ball as the Eagles try to maximize their title window with Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and a fantastic defensive core. Below, we'll break down the schedule they'll face in the 2026 season as they look to return to the Super Bowl.

Analysis

The Eagles reworked basically their entire offensive staff in the wake of last year's struggles, led by the hiring of new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. The result should be a new run scheme in place, alongside added emphasis on play-action, pre-snap motion and more under-center concepts.

As they refurbish their scheme, however, another tough schedule awaits, with eight games against playoff teams from a season ago (Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Pittsburgh Steelers).

NFC East rivalry games are always tricky affairs as well, and the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Washington Commanders should all be improved in 2026.

There aren't many cupcake games on this schedule, in other words. Thankfully, an excellent defense—aided by the offseason addition of cornerback Riq Woolen—should keep the Birds in most games, even if the offense sputters.

Pivotal Matchups

Normally for an NFC East team, you would list their divisional rivals in this section. NFC East games are always battles, and winning the division provides an easier path through the postseason.

But the Eagles are gunning for the Super Bowl, and the NFC ran through the West last season.

The Seahawks are the defending champion, so they'll be the benchmark the Eagles—and everybody else in the NFL—are trying to eclipse.

The 49ers eliminated ended Philly's season in the Wild Card Round last season, so revenge will surely be on the mind for the Birds.

And then there's the Rams. The Eagles have won four straight matchups against the Rams since the 2023 season, leading to a burgeoning rivalry between the teams. Jared Verse has offered some strong opinions on Eagles' fans in the past.

Both the Eagles and Rams will enter the 2026 season as genuine contenders. So will the Seahawks and Niners. How Philly fares against these NFC West opponents should be a solid barometer for their overall upside.
