Dodgers' Edwin Diaz Wears Brimless Hat in Photo, Says Tanner Scott Started Trend

Paul KasabianApr 7, 2026

Los Angeles Dodgers closer Edwin Diaz was spotted wearing a brimless baseball cap on Tuesday as his team was stretching prior to their road game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Jake Mintz of Yahoo Sports relayed the picture and added that Diaz said fellow Dodger reliever Tanner Scott was the first one to wear this type of cap.

Per Jack Harris of the California Post, Dodger infielder Miguel Rojas was also seen wearing a brimless cap.

"You know why?" he joked, per Harris. "Because I'm a bullpen guy!"

He was last night. With the Dodgers up 14-1 against Toronto, manager Dave Roberts turned to Rojas to finish the game in the ninth inning on the mound. Rojas allowed the first three batters to get on but got the next three men out en route to the 14-2 victory.

The 8-2 Dodgers are on fire to start the year in their quest for a World Series three-peat. They have won four straight and will look to make it five in a row Tuesday when they visit the reigning American League champions. First pitch is 7:07 p.m. ET.
