Seahawks Draft Kenneth Walker's Replacement for Super Bowl Defense in Peter Schrager's New NFL Mock

The Seattle Seahawks had a one-two punch of Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet en route to a Super Bowl victory last year, but Walker left via free agency for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Seattle could use more backfield help, and ESPN's Peter Schrager found some in the form of Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price in his first mock draft, which dropped on Tuesday.

"Believe it or not, Notre Dame has never had two running backs selected in the first round of the same NFL draft," Schrager wrote. "In fact, only three running back tandems from the same school have ever been selected in the first round in the same year. But Price is the No. 2 running back in this class and would provide some nice pop to the Seattle offense after the departure of Kenneth Walker III via free agency. He had only 113 carries last season but turned them into 674 yards and 11 scores."

Like the Seahawks, Notre Dame had a formidable backfield duo of Jeremiyah Love and Price last year. Love looks like a clear top-10 overall pick, and Schrager has him going to the Tennessee Titans at No. 4.

Price was exceptional in his own right and could very well be a first-round pick. He rushed for 6.0 yards per carry over three seasons at Notre Dame and amassed 1,854 yards from scrimmage and 24 total touchdowns overall.

As for Seattle, the Seahawks did add free agent running back Emanuel Wilson from the Green Bay Packers on a one-year deal. Seattle could roll with a backfield of Charbonnet and Wilson in 2026.

However, Charbonnet is on the final year of his rookie deal, so their top two running backs right now are entering free agency after this season. It might behoove Seattle to look ahead and add someone early at running back that can be under contract for four years. Price can be the answer as Seattle looks to defend its Super Bowl title.
