Amid A.J. Brown Trade Rumors, Eagles Draft Star WR in Peter Schrager's First NFL Mock Draft 2026
While Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown has been known to be seeking a trade this offseason, the team could find his replacement in the 2026 NFL draft.
ESPN's Peter Schrager predicted in his latest mock draft that the Eagles would select Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston with the No. 23 pick in the first round.
"Boston is electric, and Washington coach Jedd Fisch and Eagles general manager Howie Roseman are longtime college buddies," Schrager wrote. "Some NFL sources I have spoken to have Boston as the second or third wideout in this class. And if the Eagles take him, A.J. Brown's future becomes all the more interesting and will undoubtedly hit the A Block on Get Up on Friday morning coming out of the draft."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Athletic's Zach Berman recently reported that "few are convinced that Brown will return" to the Eagles, and he named the New England Patriots as the favorites to land him in a trade.
At 6'4" and 209 pounds, Boston has a similar profile to Brown and would be able to fill his role easily as a big target for star quarterback Jalen Hurts. Over his final two seasons at Washington, he produced a combined 20 touchdown receptions. B/R's NFL Scouting Department ranked him as the No. 9 wide receiver in this year's class in its draft big board.
All signs point to Brown's time in Philadelphia coming to an end this offseason, so the team would be wise to target Boston or another wideout prospect with its first-round pick in the draft later this month.
