Per The Athletic's Chad Jennings, the city of St. Petersburg spent nearly $60 million to refurbish the ballpark with a new roof, new turf and new lights. The Rays reportedly "modernized the facility with new equipment, expanded fitness and recovery spaces, and updated suites and amenities."
The Rays (4-5) will be seeking their third straight win when they host the Chicago Cubs (4-5) on Monday in what will surely be an emotional homecoming at Tropicana Field.
