New Daniel Jeremiah, Mina Kimes 'War Room' NFL Mock Draft, Would Expert Have Raiders Trade Mendoza?
Daniel Jeremiah is pretty adamant that the Las Vegas Raiders should draft Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, even if a strong trade offer is made by another team to move up to No. 1.
The NFL Network draft analyst appeared on The Mina Kimes Show and was asked by his ESPN counterpart if the Raiders should consider trading the top overall pick to the Arizona Cardinals if they're offered No. 3, a 2027 first-rounder and second-round picks in the 2026-27 drafts.
"To me, when you have a quarterback who meets the threshold and has the prototypical stuff that Mendoza has, I think I've just got to stick with what I've got right there," he responded during their War Room Mock Draft 2.0 (1:30 mark). "If somehow, someway, you get out of the quarterback neighborhood next year, you'd just be kicking yourself. So I would take [Mendoza]. It would be a discussion, we would talk about it, we'd kick it around, but I would stick and pick."

As for the No. 2 pick, Jeremiah projected defensive end David Bailey to the New York Jets, but said at the 8:50 mark that Ohio State wideout Carnell Tate "is in play at No. 2, I think he's entertained at No. 2. ... There are a lot of Tate supporters out there, there's a lot of people that need a receiver."
Tate was projected to be the No. 6 overall pick to the Cleveland Browns in the B/R NFL Draft Scouting Department's latest mock draft.
