Masters Field 2026 Odds, Favorites and Tournament Preview

Joe TanseyApr 6, 2026

Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm and the rest of the world's top golfers descend upon Augusta National Golf Club this week for the 2026 Masters.

McIlroy, Scheffler and Rahm have combined to win the last four green jackets. Scheffler won in 2022 and 2024, Rahm won in 2023 and McIlroy was victorious in 2025.

All three golfers are expected to be in contention to win again this year.

A handful of other contenders should be in the pre-tournament winner conversation, including Bryson DeChambeau, who is off to a strong start on the LIV Golf circuit.

It'd be easy to pick from one of Scheffler, McIlroy and Rahm to win the green jacket in 2026.

After all, course history is a factor to consider at The Masters more than it is at the other three majors.

McIlroy owns seven other top-10 finishes in addition to his 2025 victory at Augusta.

Scheffler has never finished outside the top 20 at Augusta. He enters 2026 on a four-year top-10 streak at the season's first major.

Rahm placed inside the top 10 on five occasions at Augusta. He's been outside the top 30 once in nine tournament appearances.

The other pre-tournament favorite to consider is DeChambeau. He had some struggles early in his career at Augusta, but he's started to figure out the course with a pair of top-six placements in the last two years.

If you allowed fans and experts to pick between the McIlroy-Scheffler-Rahm-DeChambeau quartet or the rest of the field, a decent percentage would take the top four favorites because of their successes at Augusta.

The 2026 Masters could be all about the top four golfers.

No one will complain if Scheffler, McIlroy, Rahm and DeChambeau are all in contention on the back nine come Sunday.

However, there are plenty of other golfers to watch in the hunt for the green jacket.

Cameron Young and Matt Fitzpatrick are second and third in the FedEx Cup standings.

Young owns two top-10 finishes and two missed cuts at Augusta, while Fitzpatrick has only ever finished in the top 10 twice at the season's first major.

Ludvig Aberg will be a popular pick to win as well. The Swede took second and seventh in his first two trips to Augusta.

But Aberg needs to work on his closing ability on Sunday. He fell apart at the Players Championship in March and struggled on the final day of the Masters last year.

It's hard to see an unknown, or under-the-radar player, taking home the green jacket because the top of the field is so impressive.

The only real surprises in the last decade were Danny Willett in 2016 and Tiger Woods' resurgent victory in 2018.
