Chargers 2026 NFL Schedule Released for Jim Harbaugh, Justin Herbert's Super Bowl Push
The Los Angeles Chargers have been on the brink of competing for a Super Bowl in recent years, and they hope 2026 will be the year they get over the hump.
Ahead of Jim Harbaugh's third season at the helm, the Chargers released their schedule for the 2026 campaign.

Analysis
The Chargers may not have made any home-run signings in free agency this offseason, but they were able to bring back key players like Khalil Mack while adding some depth around the roster.
Los Angeles has had one of the best defenses in the NFL since Jim Harbaugh took over, and the Chargers are poised to have success on that end of the field once again this year.
The question is whether the offense can carry its weight.
They were by no means bad on offense last year, but they weren't quite at a level that screamed Super Bowl contender. It all starts with quarterback Justin Herbert, who looks like an MVP-caliber player at his best, but records just 159 passing yards and no touchdowns in the wild-card round at his worst.
If Herbert can find a bit more consistency, the Chargers should be a team to watch in the AFC.
Pivotal Matchups
The AFC West is no longer owned by the Kansas City Chiefs, but the Chargers are still looking for their first division title since 2009 after the Denver Broncos won it last year.
Both of Los Angeles' matchups against Denver will be key, as the division race could be tight. It remains to be seen when Patrick Mahomes will be able to return to the lineup, but the Chargers can't look them over.
A matchup with the New England Patriots, last year's AFC champs, could also be a good litmus test for a team with Super Bowl hopes.
