New Mookie Betts Injury Update After Leaving Dodgers vs. Nationals with Lower Back Pain
Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts left his team's road game against the Washington Nationals on Saturday with right low back pain.
According to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, Betts will undergo an MRI and he's unlikely to play for the next few days as the team waits for the imaging results. A stint on the injured list is possible.
"It's certainly more moderate than significant," Roberts said, per The Athletic's Katie Woo. "We'll huddle up and see if we need to get a player here to protect against us, depending on how the MRI comes. But yeah, (Betts) certainly won't be playing the next couple days, I would assume."
