New NFL Draft Rumors on Makai Lemon's Visits With Chiefs, More Potential Landing Spots
Makai Lemon will be busy with multiple team visits over the next three weeks leading up to the 2026 NFL draft, having already had one in-person meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Lemon met with Chiefs officials on Thursday and has future visits scheduled with the New York Giants, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders.
The race to be the top wide receiver off the board in this year's draft appears to be wide open.

A.J.-Eagles Relationship 'Cordial'
Ohio State's Carnell Tate is generally regarded as the best player in the class, but it's not a universally held opinion.
B/R's NFL scouting department has Tate, Lemon and Jordyn Tyson all bunched together on its big board. Tyson is ranked first (No. 8 overall), followed by Tate (No. 9) and Lemon (No. 12).
In his scouting report on Lemon for B/R, Damian Parson praised his YAC skills, strong hands and route running, but had questions about his ability against more physical coverage and limited explosiveness.
Lemon is small by NFL receiver standards, ranking in the 28th percentile or worse in height, weight, arm length and hand size. There doesn't seem to be any concern that he will fall out of the first round.
B/R's NFL scouting department projected Lemon to the Jets with their second pick of round one (No. 16 overall).
The Chiefs and Dolphins also have multiple first-round picks. Both teams could use more high-end talent at wide receiver. Miami, in particular, has a glaring need for pass-catchers after trading Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos.
Washington's only Day 1 pick right now is at No. 7 overall. That would be on the high end of potential outcomes for Lemon, but not an extreme outlier since The Ringer's Todd McShay recently projected him to Miami at 11.
Lemon won the 2025 Fred Biletnikoff Award as the nation's best wide receiver. The USC star put up 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns in 12 games.
