Garrett Nussmeier, Carson Beck, Drew Allar Landing Spots Tabbed in Chad Reuter's 2026 NFL Mock Draft
The overwhelming expectation is that Fernando Mendoza will be the top overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft, while Ty Simpson seems to be a candidate to sneak into the first round as well.
But what about the next batch of options at the position like Garrett Nussmeier, Carson Beck and Drew Allar?
The third round is the answer, at least according to Chad Reuter of NFL Network, who projected the Arizona Cardinals to select Nussmeier with the first pick in the round (No. 65) and had Beck off the board at No. 76 to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He believes Allar would last a bit longer than that, however, with Allar mocked to the Los Angeles Rams in the fifth round (No. 157).
All three fits make sense. The Cardinals cut ties with Kyler Murray this offseason and need a long-term option for the position. The Steelers need to find Aaron Rodgers' successor (whether he returns in 2026 or not). The Rams would be wise to find a long-term successor to Matt Stafford.
This isn't the strongest quarterback draft, but Nussmeier, Beck and Allar all present intriguing upside, albeit as day two or day three options.
