Travon Walker, Jaguars Agree to 4-Year, $110M Contract Extension, Updated NFL Salary Cap
The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed former top pick Travon Walker to a four-year, $110 million extension.
Walker's new contract includes $77 million in total guarantees and $50 million guaranteed at signing, his agency Elite Loyalty Sports told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Walker was previously set to hit unrestricted free agency after the expiration of his rookie contract fifth-year option in 2026.
The contract was signed after "weeks" of negotiations, per Rapoport.
The Jaguars may need to renegotiate some deals in the future in order to fit in Walker's $27.5 million in average annual salary. The Jags were projected to have just over $23 million in 2027 cap space prior to the signing, per Spotrac.
Walker posted just 3.5 sacks as a rookie after he was selected by the Jaguars with the No. 1 pick of the 2022 draft.
He started to develop into a key part of the Jaguars' defense over his next two seasons as he recorded back-to-back seasons with double digit sack totals in 2023 and 2024.
Walker seemingly took a step back as he posted just 3.5 sacks in 2025 amid wrist and knee injuries, including one that necessitated midseason surgery on his left wrist.
Jaguars EVP of football operations Tony Boselli expressed faith in Walker earlier this week despite the 25-year-old recent injury issues.
"Travon missed a few games and probably didn't put the numbers up he wanted because of the injuries, but when you watch him play, you know he's a really good player," Boselli told reporters. "And so obviously, we want those guys to be Jaguars."
Walker is heading into his fifth NFL season having recorded 27.5 sacks and 200 tackles in 63 games for the Jaguars.
His new deal makes him the highest-paid defensive end in the NFL in terms of average annual salary, per Over the Cap. He beat out the Denver Broncos' Zach Allen, who signed his own four-year, $102 million deal last August, for the title.
The Jaguars will hope to see that move pay off with a healthier bounce-back campaign from Walker this fall.
