Latest WWE WrestleMania 2026 Rumors on Possible Card for Showcase Event
The match card for WWE's return to Las Vegas, WrestleMania 42, is filling out and should have a few more additions in the coming days.
From a star-studded six-man tag team match to a potential spot for one of the brightest young stars in professional wrestling, industry insiders have the latest on the card, as well as details behind the making of Seth Rollins vs. Gunther, in this collection of rumors.
Big Six-Man Tag Team Match Planned for Vegas

WrestleVotes on Fightful Select reported that LA Knight and The Usos vs. World Tag Team Champions The Vision and IShowSpeed is planned for the WrestleMania card.
Speed attempted to prevent Logan Paul from utilizing his trademark brass knuckles in Monday's tag team title match against The Usos, only to be dragged into the fray and accidentally lay out Knight with the weapon.
The issue escalated on Thursday, when Knight appeared on Speed's YouTube channel, confronting and then attacking him in his own home.
Knight, The Usos, and The Vision's Paul and Austin Theory have been intertwined for months and while the match may be more of the same for them, the introduction of Speed adds a new element to the match.
Everything the famed influencer has done with WWE has been entertaining, including enduring a spear from Bron Breakker at the 2025 Royal Rumble. He also trained for some in-ring competition with Randy Orton as part of his YouTube series, Speed Goes Pro.
While he may not be as polished as his peers in the match, do not be surprised if the rookie of the bunch creates a WrestleMania moment for himself when the match takes to the ring in Allegiant Stadium.
Update on Carmelo Hayes and WrestleMania

For now, Carmelo Hayes does not have a spot on the WrestleMania card.
WrestleVotes also reported, though, that "WWE is aware of the criticism online of him being omitted from the US Title picture."
Hayes earned rave reviews for his work as the United States champion, delivering some of the best in-ring work every week through his series of open challenges. His matches with Ilja Dragunov, in particular, were phenomenal and only served to elevate the quality of his title reign.
Over the course of his latest push, fans connected with the former NXT star and will likely have his back moving forward. If Hayes is not on the WrestleMania card, do not be surprised if his name is the subject of chants in and around Las Vegas over the weekend of April 18 and 19.
Seth Rollins vs. Gunther Update

The busy WrestleVotes also reported that the newly made match between Seth Rollins and Gunther was not finalized until the week before the March 30 episode of Raw and that it is not a unanimous creative decision.
Some on the creative team wanted Rollins to continue his war with The Vision, while others opted for the match with Gunther.
The report adds that Paul Heyman is not expected to be in the corner of The Ring General in Vegas.
Gunther is too big a star to be left off the WrestleMania card, and while The Vision should have Rollins' attention, the only healthy members are the ones who joined the group after he suffered his injury and was forced to the sidelines.
There is no remaining storyline connection to the group other than the name.
As a result, Rollins vs. Gunther is as good a call as WWE Creative was going to make and if nothing else, the match should be an absolute banger on a card with the potential to have many of them.
