Hall Comments on Recovery, Status for Thursday
Monday, Aug. 10
"Hall (groin) says it's feeling better, but still a little soreness. He wants to practice today and says, 'I better be playing Thursday!,'" tweeted Mike Jones of the Washington Post.
ESPN's Dianna Marie Russini reported on Aug. 6 that Hall would be out of action for at least a week after injuring his groin.
The 31-year-old is coming off a season in which he played only three games after tearing his Achilles tendon. He had been one of Washington's most consistent defensive backs in the five previous seasons, recording at least four interceptions four times during that span.
Washington's defense allowed the most passing touchdowns and ninth-most passing yards last season. Hall's presence in the secondary is crucial for the team. Suffering an injury early in camp after last season's issues will force the coaching staff to take things slowly with his recovery.
