Francisco Lindor Denies Brandon Nimmo Feud as MLB Insider Calls Out 'Bogus' Mets Rumor After Trade
New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor is clearing the air following a rumor of a rift between him and former teammate Brandon Nimmo, who was traded to the Texas Rangers this past offseason.
Jon Heyman of the New York Post spoke to someone who called the rumor "bogus," and Lindor clarified that there wasn't a feud between him and Nimmo.
"Nimmo and I are brothers. I love him. I love him," Lindor told Heyman. "He's a great guy. He's missed around here — good teammate, good person, good family man."

Nimmo had spent his entire MLB career with the Mets before being traded in exchange for veteran slugger Marcus Semien. In February, he opened up to The Athletic's Will Sammon, and he made it clear that he didn't have any ill will toward Lindor.
"I never felt any animosity from Francisco about a captain spot," Nimmo said. "I never felt it at all. I always told anybody that asked about it, 'I don't need a C on my chest to know that I have an impact on this clubhouse.'"
Both Nimmo and Lindor let their voices be heard while leading in different ways, but the outfielder didn't feel like there was a clash between them.
"I don't think, by any means, does Francisco having a C or not having a C change the way that he goes about his business," Nimmo added. "Francisco was nothing but kind, nothing but an amazing teammate, an amazing leader."
Nimmo and the Rangers are 4-2, while Lindor and the Mets fell to 3-3 after a walk-off loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night. Both players will surely be focused on helping their respective teams start the season on the right foot and putting any talks of a feud behind them.
