Padres Tease 2026 City Connect Uniform Release Date, On-Field Debut in New Video
The San Diego Padres teased the release of the team's 2026 City Connect alternate uniform on Thursday.
The Padres confirmed that the uniforms will be unveiled on April 9 as part of a video posted on X.
Players will wear the City Connect jerseys for the first time during San Diego's matchup with the Colorado Rockies on April 10.
While San Diego's City Connect uniforms may have been leaked on social media, Padres CEO Erik Greupner addressed the leaks on March 24.
"I can neither confirm nor deny that any of the multiple leaks are true or not," Greupner said at the time, via SI.com's Valentina Martinez. "All we are going to continue to say is that they will debut in April."
"When the time is right, we will give the date," he added. "And we will give everything around the uniforms and also the thinking behind why we made some of the changes and additions that we made. And why we believe these uniforms can be even more impactful than the first iteration."
San Diego previously utilized pink-and mint-colored City Connect uniforms, although they were retired by the club at the end of the 2025 season.
The Padres have struggled out of the gate as they look to clinch a third consecutive postseason appearance in 2026, sitting at 2-4 with series losses to the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants.
