Danhausen Plays April Fools' Prank on Superstars He Cursed

Danhausen has been on a cursing spree since joining WWE in late February, and it seems as though he has no intention of taking back his curses any time soon.

To celebrate April Fools' Day on Wednesday, Danhausen took to X and pretended to lift his curses, but it was all a ruse:

Danhausen tagged IShowSpeed, The Miz, Kit Wilson, Dominik Mysterio, Grayson Waller and Kofi Kingston with the same April Fools' Day messages.

Finn Balor, who is slated to face Dirty Dom at WrestleMania 42, took particular pleasure in the joke:

Danhausen has not competed in a match yet in WWE, but his backstage segments have consistently been among the biggest highlights of Raw and SmackDown in recent weeks.

The comic relief Danhausen brings to the table counters some of the seriousness that is present throughout the rest of the show during the build toward WrestleMania 42.

A big part of the success of Danhausen's character is his willingness to go the extra mile by utilizing social media, and he continued to do that on April Fools' Day.

WWE's Reported Plans for IShowSpeed at WrestleMania

After getting involved in the World Tag Team Championship match during Monday night's episode of Raw, famous streamer and YouTuber IShowSpeed reportedly could be part of the WrestleMania 42 card.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), a six-man tag team match pitting Logan Paul, Austin Theory and IShowSpeed against The Usos and LA Knight is currently planned for WrestleMania.

However, Meltzer noted that if it is determined Speed is not ready to wrestle in a match, the match could change to a World Tag Team Championship bout between The Usos and The Vision with Knight in The Usos' corner and Speed in The Vision's corner.

On Raw, Paul and Theory challenged The Usos for the world tag team titles, and Speed was in the front row watching the action.

Knight was at ringside in an effort to prevent The Vision from cheating, particularly when Paul broke out the brass knuckles.

When Paul pulled Speed over the barricade while Knight was tussling with him, Speed picked up the brass knuckles off the floor. When Knight approached him, Speed spun around and inadvertently knocked him out with the brass knucks.

Paul and Theory went on to beat Jimmy and Jey Uso for the tag titles, and they left the building with Speed shortly thereafter to celebrate.

Speed's pro wrestling experience is limited, although he did participate briefly in the 2025 men's Royal Rumble match, and he has the type of following that would be attractive to WWE in terms of getting as many eyes as possible on WrestleMania.

Perhaps most importantly, involving Speed would allow WWE to get Knight on the card, which is deserved given how popular he is with the WWE Universe.

El Grande Americano Match Reportedly Not Scheduled for WrestleMania

Despite previous reports, a match between both El Grande Americanos is reportedly no longer slated for WrestleMania 42.

According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), the WWE creative team decided to save El Grande Americano vs. El Grande Americano—possibly in a mask vs. mask match—for a AAA show rather than WrestleMania.

In February, WrestleVotes on Fightful Select (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News) reported that Americano vs. Americano was a "surefire" WrestleMania match since WWE "sees the money" in the rivalry.

Chad Gable portrayed the original El Grande Americano, but when he went on the shelf with an injury, Ludwig Kaiser took over the gimmick back in June.

Kaiser maintained and arguably even elevated the popularity of the character, especially in Mexico where he has become a beloved star in AAA.

Gable returned from injury in January and entered the men's Royal Rumble match as El Grande Americano, eliminating the Kaiser Americano in the process.

While both El Grande Americanos have feuded with each other on Raw since then, they had a match a couple of weeks ago with Kaiser beating Gable.

That perhaps took the wind out of the sails with regard to a WrestleMania match, so saving it for AAA where it will get the biggest reaction may be the best possible move on WWE's part.
