HBO 'Hard Knocks' Teams Revealed for Training Camps Ahead of 2026, 2027 NFL Seasons

Andrew PetersMar 30, 2026

The defending Super Bowl champs will headline this season of HBO's "Hard Knocks."

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, "Hard Knocks" will follow the Seattle Seahawks over the summer as they prepare to defend their championship. Additionally, it was revealed that the New England Patriots will be featured on "Hard Knocks" in the summer of 2027.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network also noted that Netflix's "Quarterback" will return in July.

Since "Hard Knocks" typically focuses on a team that didn't make the playoffs in the previous season, this will be the first time the reigning Super Bowl champs will be featured on the show since the 2001 Baltimore Ravens. It should be interesting to see how different the offseason goes for a team fresh off success compared to one that struggled in the year before.

Of course, the Seahawks' roster will look a bit different in 2026, with a handful of players leaving—most notably Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III, who signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency. Seattle, just like every team, will have work to do heading into the year.

While it's still a year away, the Patriots should also make for an interesting "Hard Knocks" team, since the defending AFC champs are a team on the rise and figure to be a contender for years to come.

"Hard Knocks" introduced an in-season version of the show in 2021, and the last two seasons have focused on the AFC North and NFC East, respectively. Whether another division or a specific team will be featured this year remains to be seen.

The first season of "Quarterback" featured Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota, while last season featured Joe Burrow, Jared Goff and Cousins again. The show also had a spinoff called "Receiver," which featured Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel and Amon-Ra St. Brown.

The players to appear on this season of "Quarterback" are not yet known.
