The Commanders' teaser video first announcing their forthcoming threads offered few details. In light of Harris' remarks, the shots of the three Super Bowl trophies and teams of years past could be a hint of what's to come.
Last summer, Washington rolled out a "Super Bowl Era" alternate, which blended the current branding with the aesthetics of the 1980s and early 1990s. Those were a hit with players, and fans presumably loved reminiscing about a period when the Commanders set the standard in the NFL.
Dropping carbon copies of the uniforms from the '80s and '90s would probably be well received in the nation's capital. Most likely, the jerseys will wind up as a modern spin on an iconic look.
