Epic Sports Dance-Offs

Leah Still challenged Riley Curry to a dance-off, and Internet adorableness officially reached its peak.

It's to be determined whether the Still vs. Curry battle is happening, but plenty of other dance-offs have actually materialized in sports. Today, we look at the 13 best and their respective epic scores on a scale of 1-10. Think of the epic score like wins above replacement. So a three isn't necessarily bad—it's just not as far above average as say, a seven.

Hang onto your hats folks—we even have a Korean baseball mascot battle in the mix. Ya heard.  

Honorable Mention: Leah Still vs. Riley Curry

It pains me to give this an honorable mention, but it must be done, because this would-be cutest dance-off ever hasn't actually happened. The challenge is out there, though.

Steph Curry's daughter Riley Curry celebrated her third birthday by crushing a little "Whip" and "Nae Nae" poolside. Later, Devon Still's daughter Leah Still challenged young Riley to a dance-off, resulting in all the adorableness.

Epic Score: Hypothetically off the charts

Lance Stephenson vs. TMNT

Newly minted Los Angeles Clipper Lance Stephenson just got schooled by some turtles in the art of the dance-off. It is not clear how everyone's favorite heroes in a half shell found themselves battling Stephenson, but it is clear they owned him.

Ragin' Cajuns vs. Themselves

Rain delays can be a real snooze-fest, but apparently not in Louisiana. In May, the college teams from Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana-Monroe waited out their delay with some rock-paper-scissors. Then ULL took it a step further with an intra-team dance-off. Something about dancing baseball players is always hilarious.

John Wall vs. Fan

Believe it or not, John Wall has been involved in more than one "Dougie" dance-off. He took on DeMarcus Cousins at an NBA Rookie Camp in 2010. And later, at a Reebok event in 2011, a fan gave the NBA's dancing king all he could handle.

Epic Score: 3.5

Nick Cannon vs. Kevin Hart

The NBA All-Star Game isn't just a game—it's an entire weekend full of events and shenanigans, including an annual celebrity contest. This year, Nick Cannon and Kevin Hart treated the crowd to a little dance-off to get the party started. It wasn't the most spirited battle on the list, but those are two guys who always make things entertaining.

Oregon vs. Texas

"Teach Me How to Dougie" by Cali Swag District is a popular dance-off song, apparently. Before their 2013 Alamo Bowl matchup, the Oregon Ducks and Texas Longhorns took to the stage for a pre-game dance-off. Hilarity ensued.

Unfortunately for the Longhorns, things weren't so funny on the football field.

Jahlil Okafor vs. Frank Kaminsky

Jahlil Okafor and Frank Kaminsky battled on the basketball court, as Duke edged Wisconsin for the NCAA men's basketball national championship.

Afterward, they both appeared on ESPN's SportsNation for a little game of "Truth or Dance." Instead of answering some tough questions, the two opted to dance and dance well. Let's just say a 7-footer doing the moonwalk is pretty hysterical.

Travis Kelce vs. 'Skim Milk'

This one is sort of random, but apparently Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce participated in a PBR dance-off at one point. Even better, it was awesome.

Kelce put forth a valiant effort, even rocking the Carlton Dance. Unfortunately for him, he was schooled—by a fan who goes by the name of "Skim Milk."

Gael Monfils vs. Laurent Lokoli

Gael Monfils, aka tennis trick shot aficionado, is apparently also drawn to dance-offs. He took on Laurent Lokoli at the French Open Kids' Day in 2014, and he won. No disrespect to Lokoli, but Monfils is a showman, and he proved it once again.

Texas Tech vs. Kliff Kingsbury

Team dance-offs are not unique to the Texas Tech football team. However, head coach Kliff Kingsbry made darn sure his team's 2014 practice battle would become an Internet sensation. Spoiler: It did.

Pistons Usher vs. Young Fan

No disrespect to the Kansas State basketball usher, but the usher-fan dance-off championship banner still hangs in Detroit.

In November 2013, a Detroit Pistons usher and a young fan battled it out for the whole arena to see. It was so awesome, the two later appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live for a rematch.

UVA Fan vs. UVA Fan

The fan cam is a great place for dance-offs to start.

In February, the University of Virginia shined the spotlight on its very spirited basketball fans, two of whom engaged in an epic battle via fan cam. To say things got heated would be an understatement, but in the end, sweater guy beat out scowly girl in a fight to the finish.

Scowly girl, aka Cammy Leech, did tell Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post she'd be interested in a rematch, though. So here's hoping.

Dinos Mascots vs. Fans

Let's just say the Korean Baseball Organization knows what it's doing when it comes to dance-offs. Recently, a couple of poor chumps thought they could out-dance the NC Dinos mascots. They were wrong.

Orbit vs. Security Guard

The Houston Astros are having a great season this year, but their mascot suffered some epic embarassment last year. Poor Orbit got absolutely owned by a security guard in a June 2014 dance-off.
