Tiger Woods to Make Jupiter Links Debut in TGL Finals Amid Injury Rehab Ahead of 2026 Masters

Mike ChiariMar 24, 2026

Tiger Woods announced Monday night that he will make his return to competitive golf Tuesday in Match 2 of the TGL Finals.

Woods, who has not played competitively since undergoing back surgery in October, will look to lead the Jupiter Links back from a 1-0 series deficit against Los Angeles Golf Club.

After losing 6-5 to L.A. in Match 1 on Monday, Jupiter needs to win Match 2 at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on Tuesday night. If Tiger's team succeeds, then a decisive Match 3 for the championship will be played immediately after Match 2, per ESPN.

Woods, 50, is the co-owner of TGL, which is an indoor golf league played on simulators that was founded in 2022.

Tiger's Jupiter Links failed to make the playoffs during the inaugural season of TGL in 2025, and Atlanta Drive went on to beat New York Golf Club for the first-ever league title.

On Tuesday, arguably the greatest golfer of all time will enter the fray when the stakes are the highest, but it is fair to wonder how much rust Woods will have to knock off.

Coming off a ruptured Achilles suffered last March and lumbar disk replacement surgery in October, Woods hasn't been physically able to golf in quite some time.

He also hasn't played in an official, non-TGL event since the 2024 Open Championship, which saw him miss the cut.

A 15-time major champion, Woods missed the cut at three of the four majors he played in 2024, with his best finish being a 60th-place result at the Masters.

Tiger has not finished inside the top 20 at a major since his shocking Masters win in 2019, and his future on the PGA Tour and in major tournaments is uncertain at the moment.

Woods' player bio on the Masters' official website may provide some insight into his intentions, though, as it reads, "Tiger Woods is making his 27th Masters start in 2026."

If all goes well during Tiger's TGL return on Tuesday night, it could potentially go a long way toward convincing him he is ready and able to play in the 2026 Masters starting on April 9.
