
Women's NCAA March Madness 2026 Scores, Bracket, Schedule After First Four Results
The 2026 NCAA women's basketball bracket is set.
Southern University and Virginia claimed the final two spots in March Madness with First Four wins on Thursday afternoon.
Here's a look at Thursday's results, as well as the upcoming schedule ahead of Friday's start of the Round of 64.

Southern U. 65, Samford 53
After heading into the fourth quarter with the score tied, Southern's defense took control of the First Four matchup late in the final seven minutes of the second half. The Jaguars closed out the game on a 14-2 run to clinch the victory.
Southern finished the game having earned 20 points by forcing 19 turnovers on Stamford.
The Jaguars will now look to ride the momentum of that defensive success into a matchup with one of the highest-scoring opponents in the women's bracket.
Top-seeded South Carolina will take on Southern in a first-round game set to tip off Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
Virginia 57, Arizona State 55
Virginia led for almost the entirety of Thursday night's matchup before a three-pointer from ASU's Marley Washenitz tied the game with 41 seconds remaining.
Kymora Johnson answered with a clutch three-pointer before the Cavaliers' defense helped close out the victory.
Virginia will now advance to take on Georgia in a first-round matchup set to tip off Saturday at 1:30 p.m ET in Iowa City, Iowa.
