Schefter Talks Jeremiyah Love NFL Draft Rumors, Says Titans Picking RB 'Would Surprise Me'
ESPN's Adam Schefter does not agree with consensus betting odds that favor the Tennessee Titans selecting former Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love with the No. 4 pick of the 2026 NFL draft.
"That would surprise me, if he's at four," Schefter said around the 30-minute mark of Tuesday's episode of the Adam Schefter Podcast. "I think the Jeremiyah Love watch starts at five, with the Giants, and it's on from five through nine."

The Las Vegas Raiders are widely expected to select former Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza at the top of the draft, followed by the New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals and Titans.
The five teams Schefter named as being in Love's range are the Giants, Cleveland Browns, Washington Commanders, New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs.
Love was tied to the Titans in the latest mock by NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah, who wrote that Tennessee could target help for Cam Ward after addressing "a lot of its defensive needs in free agency."
The latest 2026 NFL mock draft by Bleacher Report, however, projected the Titans drafting Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles at No. 4, five picks before Love went to the Kansas City Chiefs at No. 9.
B/R NFL scout Dame Parson wrote that Love "is instant-offense whether he's taking a handoff, catching passes out of the backfield or even aligning as a receiver," and that he could be Andy Reid's first "game-changing back since Brian Westbrook."
Schefter said Tuesday he felt the Chiefs could still target Love even after signing reigning Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker to a three-year, $43.05 million deal in free agency.
"Would the Chiefs still take Jeremiyah Love having paid Kenneth Walker? You know what I say to that? If the Falcons could take Michael Penix having paid Kirk Cousins 100 million, then the Chiefs could take Jeremiah Love," Schefter said.
Love finished third in Heisman Trophy voting after racking up 1,372 rushing yards (10.4 yards per catch) and 18 rushing touchdowns in 12 games of his junior season at Ohio State.
There has been a running back drafted within the top ten picks in three of the last four drafts as Breece Hall, Bijan Robinson and Ashton Jeanty saw their names come off the board early in their respective drafts.
Even if the Titans decide to target another player like Styles at No. 4, Love could still join that trio as another top-ten running back pick when the draft kicks off April 23 in Pittsburgh.
